What to do When You Feel Lost | Confusion to Clarity #54

In my coaching sessions, when people describe the feeling of being lost, here’s how they do it most often:

“It’s like a dark, gray cloud has descended upon me. So, I’m moving through the world, but I can’t see anything. I have no idea what I’m doing, where I’m headed, or if my direction is even right. And that scares me. Because I show confidence to other people. I put on a smile and fake it, but I don’t know how long I can do it. It’s overwhelming.”

I’ve worked with people on hundreds of different emotions, but this one always felt a bit deeper than others.

Because it also had another emotion hitched onto it: hopelessness.

And that’s the real problem.

We’ve all been lost in life before. It doesn’t matter if the situations were big, small, consequential, or trivial. The truth is, we all struggle. Yes, even the most perfect people on the planet struggle.

The problem is, we’re not vulnerable about that struggle.

So, when we feel the struggle, we look around at people and conclude, “Oh, damn, I’m the only one with a problem. Everyone else seems to have it figured out.” We feel hopeless and lonely.

So, we hide away and pretend everything is fine. When someone else who is struggling looks at us, they think, “Oh wow, you have it all figured out.” And they start feeling hopeless.

They hide their struggle, which triggers a chain reaction of a world where everyone feels lost, but no one admits it, and even though we all have dark clouds, we step out without umbrellas because to others, it must look like our skies are clear.

And then we spend a lifetime chasing clarity and quick fixes not knowing that we are the saboteurs of our own progress.

It’s not your fault. It’s not anyone else’s fault. It’s just the way things are.

But that doesn’t mean it should be that way. We can change it and grow through our struggles together.

That’s why, it may sound counter-intuitive to you, but the way out of your feeling of being lost is to share it. Here’s why I say that.

We can’t See Everything:

And that’s our biggest limitation.

Like a doctor can’t do surgery on themselves, we can’t always see all parts of our challenges and solve them, completely on our own.

When we’re in the dark cloud, all around us we only see the fog, confusion, and darkness.

But when we invite a fresh perspective into our dilemma, that person isn’t going through the same dark cloud as us. When they look at the problem, they probably use different angles than us.

And who knows, they might just show us a solution, question, or thought process that’s so simple yet so effective that we think, “How did I never even think of that?”

Well, we were blocked to new perspectives and ideas—not because they weren’t there; our dark clouds just clouded our thinking.

When someone points them out to us, we can feel the cloud clearing away, and the bright light of clarity coming in.

Every time I coach someone, and they have a realization, I can see their expressions change. A spark comes back to their eyes as if someone just touched two live wires together. And they say, “Wait a minute, I never thought of it that way! This makes everything so clear!”

You want to know the funniest part? If I were struggling through the same thing on my own, I probably wouldn’t have figured it out. I would have been lost like them too because I would have been under the cloud as well.

So that’s why I go to my coaches when I feel that way. Sometimes, even a post on Instagram or a book can be the coach that gives you the fresh perspective. But a lot of times, it’s a person that helps.

It could be a friend you go to, a mentor, a parent, or a coach. But in sharing your struggle, sharing your cloudy days, you solve your problems much faster, and give other people the courage to do the same.

The Fastest Way to Clear the Clouds:

My purpose is to help people feel empowered and transformed through clarity. It has changed my life in every way, and I want to help as many people as possible achieve the same.

That’s why I’ve been running this newsletter, Confusion to Clarity, for more than a year now! Along with that, as I’ve coached more than 150 people one-on-one, I saw similar patterns, regardless of how much their story or circumstances changed.

And I understood, it’s the same kind of challenges we all go through, they’re just ‘clouded’ differently for each of us.

But when we address the root, everything changes.

As one of my coachees, Sauhard said, “In just one week, the shift has been unreal! I went from being stuck like a slow freight train, to moving like a bullet. It felt like I was living under a cloud for years, half-asleep, and he helped me wake up. I feel lighter, clearer, and I have way, way less fear in my relationships now.”

I want to help all of you experience the same transformation. And to make that happen, I’m launching the Confusion to Clarity Coaching Program, where in a group, we will all work together, rise, evolve, and ‘wake up’ above the clouds like Sauhard and a 150 others!

I have not made this public anywhere yet. You’re the first one to hear because you’ve been so committed as a reader for this newsletter that I wanted to give you the first chance at joining in, and at a crazy offer I’ll not give again!

The First Live Batch of the Workshop is happening on 14th and 15th February 2026, and this crazy offer is valid for the next 5 days, til 18th of January.
